Use this check when you want to see what shoppers get on a collection page, or which products Layers recommends next to a product, before you change sort orders or merchandising rules.
Check a collection’s results
- Go to Catalog → Collections.
- Select a collection to open its page.
- Scroll through the product grid to review the collection’s products. Use Find products to check whether a specific product is in the collection, and Previous and Next to page through larger collections.
- Review the panel on the right:
- Default Sort Order shows the sort order the collection uses.
- Merchandising Rules lists the rules that target this collection. Select a rule to edit it, + New to create one, or View all rules → to see every rule that mentions the collection.
Changing Default Sort Order on the collection page saves the change immediately. It is not a preview. To try a different ordering without affecting shoppers, edit the sort order or rule through the normal review flow instead.
Check similar products
Similar product recommendations come from recommendation blocks that use the Similar Products strategy.
- Go to Merchandise → Recommendation Blocks.
- Open a block whose strategy is Similar Products.
- In the Live Preview panel, choose a product in the Context product field.
- Review the recommended products. If the preview says No context selected, pick a product first. If it says Data is being computed, check back shortly.
