When to use this

  • You changed products in one collection and are not seeing updates reflected in Layers.
  • A collection’s product ordering is stale after edits in Shopify.

Steps

  1. In the dashboard, go to Catalog > Collections.
  2. Find the collection and open its actions menu.
  3. Click Sync Products to refetch the collection’s product list from Shopify, or Push to Index to republish the current data to the search index without re-fetching.
  4. Wait for the sync to complete, then review the collection page.

Resync several collections at once

The Collections list supports bulk selection when you need to refresh more than one collection without reindexing the entire catalog.
  1. Go to Catalog > Collections.
  2. Open the actions menu on any collection row and click Select to enter selection mode.
  3. Tick the checkbox on each collection you want to act on. Use Shift+click to select a range.
  4. Open the Actions dropdown in the toolbar and select one of:
    • Sync from Shopify — Refetches the product list and ordering for each selected collection from Shopify.
    • Push to Index — Republishes the selected collections to the search index without re-fetching from Shopify. Use this when the collection data in Layers is correct but a search or block isn’t reflecting it.
  5. Click ActionsDone selecting to leave selection mode.

Resync from Shopify admin

You can also queue the same resync without leaving Shopify. On the collection page in Shopify admin, open More actions and click Resync in Layers. See Shopify admin extensions.

Tips

  • Use single-row Sync Products when only one collection changed to save time.
  • Reach for Push to Index when Shopify hasn’t changed but collection results still look wrong. It’s faster than a full resync because it skips the Shopify fetch.
