Roles
Each member has one or more roles that determine what they can do. Your store comes with six built-in roles:
For the full permission breakdown, custom roles, and resource-scoped permissions, see Manage roles and permissions.
Invite a team member
You can invite teammates by email or with a shareable invite link. Both methods assign a role to the new member.- Go to Settings > Users & Invites.
- Click Invite by Email.
- Enter the teammate’s name and email address.
- Select the Role to assign, and optionally grant additional individual permissions on top of that role.
- Submit the form.
Accept or decline an invite
When someone invites you to their store, you see a notification in the bell icon at the top of the dashboard.- Click the bell icon to open the notification panel.
- Find the store invite notification, which shows who invited you and which store.
- Click Accept to join the store, or Decline to dismiss the invite.
Manage a member’s access
Open a member’s Manage access page to fine-tune what they can do.- Multiple roles — a member can hold more than one role at a time. They receive the combination (union) of all permissions across their roles.
- Extra permissions — an admin can grant additional individual permissions on top of a member’s roles, including resource-scoped ones such as specific collections or sort orders. See resource-scoped permissions.
- Activity log — each member has a per-member activity log showing their recent configuration changes.
Transfer ownership
The Owner can transfer ownership to another member without contacting support.- Open the new owner’s Manage access page.
- Select Transfer Ownership and confirm.
Resend an invitation
If a teammate hasn’t responded to their invite, you can resend it from the pending invites list on the Users & Invites page.Remove a team member
- Go to Settings > Users & Invites.
- Find the member you want to remove.
- Click the remove action next to their name.
Organizations
If your store is attached to an organization, organization owners and admins automatically have full access to the store. They don’t need a separate store invite and won’t appear in the store’s members list. Detaching the store from the organization revokes that access.Next steps
- Manage organizations to group multiple stores and share access across them.
- Manage roles and permissions to control what each teammate can do.
- Navigate settings to explore all store configuration options.
