My verification link expired
Verification links expire after about an hour. Log in with your email and password. Layers shows the Verify your email page, where you can click Resend Verification Email to get a new link. Open the newest email, since earlier links stop working. If the email doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder and make sure you’re signed up with the address you expect.A teammate can’t get in
Someone with permission to manage users can invite them from Settings > Users & Invites:- Invite by Email sends the teammate an email and an in-app notification. If they haven’t responded, resend the invite from the pending invites list.
- A shareable invite link lets anyone who opens it join with the role you choose. Links expire after 7 days, so create a new one if it’s older.
I installed the app but can’t get into the dashboard
When you install Layers from Shopify, Layers makes one account the store owner: your Layers account if you were signed in, the Shopify account owner, or your store’s contact email. If you can’t find your account, try the Shopify account owner’s email or the store contact email, then use Forgot your password? on the login page to set a password. See Who becomes the store owner. If someone else already owns the store in Layers, ask them to invite you or transfer ownership.I forgot my password or lost my authenticator
- Forgotten password: click Forgot your password? on the login page and follow the email link.
- Lost authenticator: use one of your recovery codes on the code step, or log in with a passkey. See Secure your account.
