# Duplicate a sort order

> Duplicate an existing sort order in Layers as a starting point for a new variation, copying its metrics, priority rules, and segmentation settings.

## Duplicate a single sort order

1. In **Sort Orders**, open the actions menu on a sort order.
2. Click **Duplicate**.
3. Rename the copy and make your edits.
4. Save.

## Duplicate multiple sort orders

1. In **Sort Orders**, click **Select** in the actions column header to enter selection mode.
2. Check the sort orders you want to copy.
3. Open the **Actions** dropdown and select **Duplicate**.

Each copy receives an auto-generated name and code so there are no conflicts. Layers does not enable duplicated sort orders as storefront sorts by default.

  Bulk duplicate is useful when you want to create several variations of existing sort orders for A/B testing or seasonal campaigns.
