# View the products behind a facet value

> Open a product list for any facet value on the Faceting tab to see exactly which searchable products a filter option covers before you group or hide it.

Each row on the Faceting tab can show you the products it actually covers. Use this to confirm what a filter option matches before you group, rename, or hide it, or to investigate why a value's count looks off.

## Prerequisites

* The attribute must be configured as filterable
* You must have admin access to the dashboard

## Steps

1. Open the attribute and go to the **Faceting** tab.
2. Locate the facet value or group in the table.
3. Click the three-dot menu next to the row.
4. Select **View products**.

A dialog opens with the same product table you see on the Catalog page, restricted to products that carry the value. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to page through the results and change the page size.

## What's included

The list only shows products that are in your store's searchable set. Layers leaves out products that are excluded from search, so the list matches what shoppers can actually filter to on the storefront. See [Hidden-from-search alert](/help/catalog/view-product-details#hidden-from-search-alert) for the rules that exclude a product from search.

For a group row, the dialog shows the union of every value in the group. A product that carries any of the group's underlying values appears once.

## Tips

* If a product you expect is missing, open it from the Catalog page and check for a **Product hidden from search** alert.
* Check a value's products before hiding it to confirm you won't strip a filter option shoppers rely on.
